Oh you don't have to tell me! But, the stuff that salons resell is marked up like crazy! Take OPI nail polish for example. In a salon it is anywhere from $12 to $18 for a freaking bottle of nail polish! I can get it from Davidson's for $4 to $6. Now the scissors, clippers and flat irons that the stylists use have to be expensive. They have to last through constant use every day. $200 for a pair is really not that bad, especially if she only has to get them sharpened every two years.

do you even want to know the markup on that tanning lotion ya'll use.......actually my mom dont make that much on her products, she makes a few bucks.....her tanning bed just barely pays its electric bill.....she just keeps it as a extra service for her shop.......and i get kept around cause i move heavy things for people that go there.....and im not joking.....i dont know how mant times ive helped her customers move.....

I dont spend my money on hair junk, a good shampoo Biolage is the best. doesnt have to cost me a bag of diapers either. I dont fret about stuff like that, i gotta a baby to feed ,dress and raise..... she gets all the extra cash outta my pocket. sometimes you learn to just go with out the frilly stuff... I get mad at my self for shopping at walmart.:argh:
So how much do you girls spend on your makeup and hair products.? I spend about 20.00 a month on fresh makeup, bits at a time, cause mascara is 12.00.Revlon of course is the only stuff i can wear, the other stuff makes my eyes water. thats about all i use.
A little eyeliner but it lasts a few months and some nail polish, Im kinda a 15 min wash and go girl...........no blowdryers, hot irons or any of that......lets go:U:

I used to work at a tanning salon... Our boss bought some of the BEST tanning lotions out there for $20 and she'd mark up the price to $60-80. I KNOW NOT to buy from a tanning salon... I buy online. Also... to tan in her tanning salon... It was $30 for students to tan in regular beds, $55 for students to tan in super beds. But for anyone who wasn't a student... regular beds were $55 and super beds were $70. So I know she can pay her electric bill... especially since everytime it even sprinkles in that town the electric goes out and no one can tan.

And Jenn I don't spend jack crap on make up... usually just go to walmart... I'm not that picky... and my face doesn't breakout that bad so anything usually works. They are opening some new store in town (can't remember the name) that sells all the expensive make up for a fraction of the price... I think I might try that when they open. And honestly... since I've been tanning and I've went from a florencent glow to dark skinned. So now I really just use bronzer on my face... don't need much. So honestly I probably spend $20 a month on make up... some months it's cheaper cause I like to give my face a break for a couple of days here and there. Oh and Jenn I don't use a blow dryer... I take showers before I go to sleep and let it air dry, Dyeing my hair blonde and straightening my hair everyday is enough damage without the blow dryer.

Are you blonde? yea i forgot about hair dying I do that alot.

I wish i just left it natural.. in some of my pics i am blonde, thats my natural color.. one day ill let it go that color again.. and just leave it..:argh:

well.. yeah I got a crap load of blonde highlights right now... in about a week I'm gunna dye it solid blonde. And I can't leave mine natural... it's awful lol... it's ashy blackish brown with gray spots EVERYWHERE. It's really ugly and so I will dye my hair for the rest of my life:c:

Yeah that is exactly what i use! the moisture shampoo and anti breakage conditioner! yeah i buy it at dollar general for $4 a bottle! i cant really afford expensive stuff but i need to find something different, i think next time i will try the biolage stuff.

i dont like to spend money on makeup. I am the same way with mascara. it has to be one that doesnt make my eyes water. and foundation has to be bareminerals because my skin has allergic reations to anything else... and that is expensive enough....
