Truck Got Busted Into!!!!!!! (long!)
 

Well guys, this morning i got a call from a good friend of mine who drove by my house and he said it looked like my window had been busted out. So i run downstairs and sure enough, my window is busted out, my outer window seal and door skin are all pulled back and dented and stretched etc. I go to look inside and they nabbed my Kenwood CD player and my Cobra CB Radio. Luckily, they didn't take my Edge COMP which was Velcroed to the bottom right corner of my CB. They just ripped it off the CB.

I then had people start calling me saying they saw a "friend" of mines truck go peelling out of my alley. I also heard that 2 of my other friends who also know this person saw or heard his truck at their houses as well. Then, here comes the fishy part, 50 min after i found out about this the person that we think did this we will call him Bob., calls the person that told me my truck was busted into and bob asks my friend "So i heard Zach's truck got broken into last night" in a kinda laughy joking, who gives a $hit tone of voice. That was really fishy. Then, shortly after, Bobs dad calls myself and the 2 other guys who saw and heard the truck plus my friends sister who told me about my truck and another friend of mine and starts to say that the truck they saw him in wasn't in the area and at 9pm bob wasn't even in this area. Well 9pm and 1am when i got broken into are 4 hrs apart. Then his dad goes on to say that the 2 other friends that saw and heard bobs truck by their house last night said that those 2 friends are the ones to look out for because they're trouble...... Well ive known both of those guys longer than bob and his family. My other 2 friends he speaks about used to live at bobs house and his dad says they always stole stuff that they didn't steal and is trying to poke them with money that bobs dad doesn't deserve or need. Anyway, Everyone that ive talked to and even some others are all saying that it was more than likely Bob.

I will keep everyone updated as i find out other stuff. I reported the break in right after i found out about it and have already went to my insurance company and have gone to get estimates to fix my FUBARd door. I will get some pictures of the damage and empty stereo holes and such in my truck.

The only upside to this is that if i end up getting a new door my rust is taken care of.



So what would you guys do in this situation with my other friends and "bob"??

Bob did it dude. Same thing happened to me one time with a friend of mine. He cut all four tires on my truck. He thought for some reason in his dimented head that I cut one of his. About the time the cops showed up the next morning he called my roomate and told hime that was weird that mine got cut because his did too. Come to find out after scaring the hell out of him, he finally admitted he did it. Your story sounds exactly the same as what happened to me. I'd go hunt Bob down if I were you

It sure sounds like Bob is trying awful hard to prove his innocence.

I guess you have to ask yourself if you think this is typical behavior from Bob or from those other two guys. If Bob has done this kind of thing in the past then it's probably him.

There's always a chance that the other two are setting him up...

Either way, thieves suck and I'm sorry this happened to you, dude.

Bob's an idiot. Get the cops involved to take prints etc. if you feel strongly about it.

I'm guessing Bob isn't your friend any longer...:bat::madd:

if his dad is calling you, then he defientely did it and his dad is trying to avoid his son getting in trouble.

yeah, make sure the cops interview the witnesses saying they saw him in the area bout that time, tell them everything you told us, trust me, they will at least go talk to this "Bob"

I would have a very hard time not going to have a little chat with Bob myself. It is always a lot easier to tell something about someone face to face

By the way....my nickname is not Bob:)

that sucks, they sure tried hard to get in there.. howd they or bob knew that you had them.. hopefully if you dont catch bob you have other pictures of your truck radio and sterio you can show to the police or insurance.. i hope your deductable isnt 1000.00

At least most of it is pretty easy to fix. Can they straighten the door or are they going to reskin it?

im askin for a whole new shell and paying the diff to get rid of the rust at the same time.

im 99.9% sure aaro......err Bob was the one to fudge up my truck, with the assistance of his crack snortin neighbor!

screw the cops i would just go pay bob a nice painfull visit and remind him that no one screwes with your stuff! and while your there get your stuff back and then drive him to the bank and help him inside because it will be really hard for him to walk with broken knees and let him get the cash to fix your truck. because now if you submit a claim your insurence might go up.

Wow, bummer.. Sorry to hear about that. I sure hope they do catch (whoever) it was. Sure would be nice to have the justice system work once in a while. :bat:

Holy smokes, if someone did that to my truck there would be some hell to pay. I can't even stomach a door ding for crying out loud. That dude would be out front of his place chewing on rocks in the road right along with his POS dad.

Just remember to report it to the cops. Any info (model & serial numbers) are the best.
