Gasket Maker

I am a firm believer in the form a gasket stuff. works well on diff covers. trans covers ect.

I am going to be installing a new carb on my CJ7 and was wonder if a form a gasket could be used instead of buying a gasket that fits the carb (which might be difficult). I also do not care for the make your own gasket stuff as it is time consuming and never the way I want. so I was wondering if a form a gasket would work? I didnt know if fuel would break it down or if there was a special kind that should be used with fuel or if none at all should be used.

Test fit it first. I believe there is a spacer that is nec on many of the CJ's (not all). I had a horrible time getting one of these. I believe I saved the part # that I used (fel pro) so I wouldn't have as much trouble the next time. I put a thin layer of form a gasket on each side of it.

the carb I am getting is a 2150 and comes with the adapter plate.

could I use just the form a gasket?

never mind i mis-read. you didn't use a gasket
