nissan diesel project

i'm picking up a 95 2wd Nissan pick up.
the motor has a knock. it's a 4 cyl ka24e engine

my buddy has given me a GM 4.3 diesel. with low miles.
tranny and all!
i have access to 4 and 5 cylinder Mercedes non turbo diesels also.

i think i might try an jamb the 4.3 v6 in cuz it's what available to me at no
cost

any one here ever have or know much about the 4.3 diesel?

Johnny Cetane 04-10-2007 12:41 PM

according to my old fart of a diesel tech here at work the 4.3 was actually pretty decent. he said it was way better that the 5.7l too. said he owned one for quite a few years and didn't have much problem with it all.

bow2no1 04-10-2007 12:43 PM

from what a friend of mine told me thge 4.3 was all diesel..
and the 5.7 was a gas conversion..

i dunno if that matters much?? i dunno any one that has one. this is the only one i have seen.

I might be wrong but I think the 4.3's are in LAV's. They will run like scalded dawgs.
