Colin Edward's AMAZING Save!!!!!!!

he actually crashed! the front tire was off the ground, bike sliding on its' side...yet another reason it's fun to watch the MotoGP series races, those guys are just ridiculously amazing riders!

Thats my boy. :up2:

DangerousDuramax 04-05-2008 12:24 PM

For all the MotoGP fans, dont forget the next race is in Estoril on the 13th. :hd:

Nitelord 04-05-2008 12:28 PM

I like MotoGP too. The Speed channel runs it every so often. That and drag racing are two things my son is really getting into. :U:

DangerousDuramax 04-05-2008 12:32 PM

If you will register on motogp.com and pay for the package you can watch the races live from the website. I used to get up at 2am just to watch a race.

we have it set up to record on the DVR and got a surprise this last race...apparently the Speed channel changed the title from 'motorcycle racing' to 'motoGP racing', so the auto-record timer we had set didn't pick it up, fortunately a friend noticed it and recorded it on his DVR so we still got to see it.
a bunch of us get together on sunday evenings and watch the GP and SBK races on a 150" projection screen, it's pretty awesome! and motoGP is supposedly going to get HD cameras pretty soon, so you'll actually be able to see the riders' numbers/sponsors!

I just canceled Dish Networks system and switched to Directv. I don't know their line up yet.

Yep, that used to be our Sunday afternoon ritual. I had a pretty nice setup in the garage with a big screen so we had what the wives would call our "Tim Allen Day". :up2: We would watch the MotoGP, World Superbike, and any other FIM races.

So are any of you guys going to make it to Laguna Seca or Indy this year? Me and two other guys have already got our VIP package for LS. :hd:

greasemonkey 04-05-2008 01:33 PM

this year we have almost as many girls watching the races regularly with us, it's pretty sweet. several wives, g/f's and singles.

man, that should be fun with the VIP package! we're planning on watching it there at the house. a bunch of my us went the first year they were at LS, when Honda gave Nicky a good bike to ride and he OWNED the corkscrew and outran everyone else, by a LOT.

now we just make a big deal of the LS race and throw a pretty big party. sitting in the A/C and being able to see the whole track and replay stuff. it's definitely an awesome experience to be there and watch the race live, both options have their perks and drawbacks...

DangerousDuramax 04-05-2008 01:41 PM

Yep, I went last year and had such a good time we are going to do it again this year. Its only $2500 for the package and that includes EVERYTHING. Travel included. :up2:

Laguna Seca is a great track to go to for bike racing. We flew into San Jose and drove down for the weekend and stayed. I have not been there in a couple of years, but I spent a lot of time in the pits, on the hill or at the cork screw.

screw watching the race in the AC, I got a free ticket for Laguna Seca!!!!! :choochoo::c::rocking: !!!!

my roommate is the sales manager at a powersports dealership, somehow he got ahold of a handful of tickets and his uncle has an extra condo somewhere in the area!!! so I'll be there, I'm SOOOOOOOO stoked!

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

can't wait to go see those guys roll through the corkscrew again...that's just downright impressive!

BigSuncoastGuy 07-15-2008 11:37 PM

Amazing footage of amazing skill. Anytime I get a bighead on my bike I can always watch these guys to remind me of how much further I have to go.

I wish I could go to Laguna Seca. Its definatly on my list of things to do in my life.

greasemonkey 07-15-2008 11:57 PM

those guys corner harder and ride faster IN THE RAIN than I'll ever ride on a clean, dry street! and I like to think I'm pretty decent and push the limits, within reason...
