The Birthday Thread Got Me Thinking... What Have YOU Done In The Last Year

Well DieselBombers.com is now a year old... As we can see the site has come a LONG way from the idea that started in Dieselminded's head, and we all know that that is a scary place, and it has turned into the Internet powerhouse it is today... All in a year... We all know how far the site has come... But what about the members? How far has your diesel come in a year or since you started coming on this site? Lets hear a story maybe with some pics of what you have done to your truck in the year. Maybe you Bombed the hell out of it... Maybe you found a new love for it... maybe you just made a stock truck more reliable. I wanna know what has been going on with YOU!

I'll start!

When i found this site I had just bought my first Diesel... Like it was DAYS old... it's is a 06 Dodge Cummins. Since I got it I have put in guages, 4" Silverline exhaust (which I won off here in what I think was the first giveaway), and a SMARTY.
Attachment 58474

I also bought a 89 CTD to use as a pulling truck... So far it is stock but with the help of the 1st gen section I think it won't stay that way for long!
Attachment 58475

I also have a 97 P30 van for work with a non-turbo 6.5 in it... Stock as Stock can be... But it gets the job done and my bills paid!
Attachment 58476

I am also a sponsor on the site now... Who saw THAT coming?!?!

The best thing this year has given me though is that I have also made more friends that I can count... People that I know if I broke down by their house I could call them and they would come get me. People that care when stuff is going wrong. I know it's corney as hell but I think of alot of them like Family. Hell I even let one of the bastards sleep in my house for a weekend

That's what has happened in the last year of my life on DieselBombers.com... I have gone from a non-diesel owner to having 3 in the driveway and being a Sponcor on my favorite site... now it's your turn... Who knows... Might be a hat for the person with the best story! :w2:

Well, I had a failure of a corn crop...the cows liked it. I was well on the way to having my black 91 the way I wanted it, little things to do. Totaled that truck, got the 92. This one is taking me to my AA degree.

Well When the site started my truck had more goodies on it then it does now ,

I cant talk about the site much out side of the site as , Im obviously excited for its future and end up looking like the One Time at Band Camp Girl :D

I find it astounding how people have bonded on the site and ask opinions on very important things thats going on in there lives , Its True Were a community for sure I consider alot of you Friends

When talking out side of the site and i say something like

My Buddy in Canada ......

People just think im Full of it :D

I have a note book and just about everyday at work i write down things that pop in my head along with a TO DO LIST , then challenge my self to get all them done before i go back to work after my days off , I flipped back to the first few days today at work , Man I was so Clueless....lol

I really dont know how we did this , But im glad we did because we have gotten so much enjoyment from it :)

The worst part about losing the old truck, this was on it.

And the new truck

I now row my own gears which I like, but would love to have my black truck back. I've got the rams head off of it too.
Oh, and I would love me a hat though.

I'm with Bobby on this.... i've met SOOOOO many people that are passionate about the diesel sport. it's hard to find people that have common intrests as you unless you go to match.com...... it's nice to have a place you can call :":home:": on the net and have a bunch of brothers and sisters that live there too..... we've come a long way and i along with a few others here i know have lost alot of sleep, hair, and chances to do :":stuff:": while we were working on projects, ideas, upgrades for this site and the diesel community. i'm just glad to be here enjoying time with everyone here.... we've had our highs and lows this year.... lets make this next one even better than the last:U:

When it started off much I couldnt get on very much when anyone else was living on the other side of the world and all. When I got home I started getting on a little more and more and meeting new people. I realized what a great overall (not just diesel) site it really is. I have made quite a few friends here, and am glad I can ask them advice on anything. Bobby even wanted me to bring my whole family up while we were in Va a few months back. A place where you can come and meet MANY people like that isnt too common I wouldnt think. My truck has been through alot in the last year. New injectors, twins, studs, O-rings, and alot of pointers from here. I even made some California friends and they drug me to a GTG in San Diego. All I can say everyone involved does a great job and really puts alot more effort in than I think they probly get credit for. Thanks to the staff sponsors, and members for a great site.

Well I started off this past year by buying a truck for a toy, to keep me molesting my work truck too bad, getting everything you see below done and still thinking I'm way behind. I think I would be completely bald at this point if not for my home here, and I still think of it that way even though I haven't been here the past 3 months thanks to Hughes Net, DM you were right they do indeed SUCK. Thanks to all the sponsors, staff and members for listening to my cry's, rants, and tantrums. Heres to another great year and more bombs dropping:c:

MikeyR 03-14-2008 09:35 AM

I have seen this site since it was made because of my dad :c:but since I have joined recently I have learned a lot about any diesel on the market:choochoo: and want one when I'm sixteen.:mum::w2::pca1: and I have also learned that you can bomb a truck and blow a lot of soot.:w2:

toy4xchris 03-14-2008 09:44 AM

lets see when I found this site I was a retard with a cummins that didnt run I am sure most of you remember the post about being in afghan and when I got back the cummins would breath life again well she does.
after that got me a 2nd diesel my 03 dmax and have decided that my good old cummins was going down again but this time for a complete make over into a 4wd conversion and sled puller.
I just wanna say thanks for all the help I have gotten on here if it werent for you guys and gals I wouldnt be rollin coal.:choochoo::U::U::c:

RSWORDS 03-14-2008 09:57 AM
