Roger Welsch would be the only author that I have ever casually read. He wrote such great books as

Old Tractors and the Men Who Love Them
Busted Tractors and Rusty Knuckles
Love, Sex, and Tractors
Diggin' In & Piggin' Out
Everything I Know About Women I Learned From My Tractor

I have read all of these and IMHO he is a great writer, the titles are a little bit misleading but go read one and see what you think.

DangerousDuramax 03-05-2008 07:42 PM

I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with them. I hope I didn't come across that way. I'm sorry if I did.
My kids are pretty neat about books. Sometimes there is a steady flow of books for me to read to them. I get halfway done with one, here comes another.

Well...I think the answer already lies somewhere in that question. :ha: :scared2:

greasemonkey 03-09-2008 12:48 PM

Lt Col Dave Grossman 'On Combat' ..."looks at what happens to the human body under the stresses of deadly battle — the impact on the nervous system, heart, breathing, visual and auditory perception, memory - then discusses new research findings as to what measures warriors can take to prevent such debilitations so they can stay in the fight, survive, and win."

Loren Christensen 'Warriors: On Living w Courage, Discipline and Honor'...

John Piper, CS Lewis, Frank Peretti, Chuck Holton 'Bulletproof'...draws from Grossman and Piper, very good religious perspective on combat, killing and self defense.

John Lingenfelter(R.I.P.), Corky Bell 'Maximum Boost'...very good turbocharging book
