Hello, I'm new here, but I'm hoping I won't be slighted for asking for assistance in my first post.

I have a 1996 Toyota Landcruiser with a Mitsubishi 4D34-3AT3B out of a 1999 Fuso FE Cabover Box Truck. This engine is factory rated at 135-145HP (depending on year) and 253-275lb-ft of torque. It is a 3.9L direct injected intercooled turbo 4-cylinder. The injection pump is a Zexel MD-TICS electronically governed pump with timing control. Even though it is an electronically controlled pump, it is very similar in construction and function to the Zexel pumps found on the Isuzu 4BD1/4BD2 engines.

For pictures of the pump, click here:

I am curious what can be done to get more fuel into the truck? Is it as simple as tricking the ECU with a resistor in the Boost Air Temp Sensor circuit?

Does anyone know any tips/tricks with this engine and/or IP?

Thanks!
- Stephen

I would say, use the same method as the older ones. Run the throttle, and check for anything that's limiting it on the max end.
