Turnin Up A Mack
i drive a ol mack u modle reel truck at work, and it can barly get out of its own way empty and is really bad with 2 10,000lb reels of copper electric cable. i own a 89 dodge CTD and turned it up, i was wondering if the same can be done to the mack you know thanks guys

You should be able to play with the pump and get a bit more power out of it. Just go in small increments and write a log of what you adjust, how much, ect, so if something goes wrong you can always back track to the last adjustment. You should be able to dial it in right where you want it.

is there a specific thread on the web at shows which screws do wut or where they are?????????

Post up a pic of it. I would imagine its going to be pretty basic. ALso, turbo or NA?

what engine is it, only way to tell, i know how to turn up an E7.....i will find out how to turn up any others....

i got an E6 that needs turning up the 300 horse just aint cutting it, as for the old u its probably a 237

well some scumbags stole all the fuel out of it, along with my welder, and about $800 in scrap aluminum and copper so i just put more diesel back in it yesterday because i have been broke as a joke after wrecking my truck and getting all these parts to put it back together, i have ran a few small jobs nothing huge yet, it will get good in the spring, maybe haul some snow this winter

If you need work dobo.. get over here. there seriuosly short of guys with your credentials.. equipment and truckers..good money gaurenteed work till 2010.

E6 and a 237, anything else you can think of, i keep your page in my favorites because its a nice guidebook when i work on ALOT of stuff and i use it for refernce when people ask me stuff about big diesels....

On the front of the inj pump is the puff eleminator... unscrew it from the pump and take the shim (washer) off and screw it back in.....if you dont care about black smoke take the air line off and plug the line ....Dat ill do it:choochoo:
