I've never heard of anything like that. The Cat's I drove never had a lot of lag anyway just alot of get up and go pullin power. I love those engines

Yeah, I can't say I've noticed any problems with mine. That engine has some power. :)

Thsoe big Cat's will ride. I drove a 2000 W-9 and a 2002 W-9 with the Cat and those trucks would ride hard. 126mph top speed and didn't care what you had behind it. They are very reliable too, I ran cross-country quite a few times and they never left me anywhere. :U:

I haven't had mine up to more than about 90, but it had plenty more pull. Dunno if I'd make it quite to 127 though -- that's the max speed programmed into the ECM.

(Computer science factoid: The speed governor setting in the ECM is a signed 8-bit integer, making 127 mph the highest speed that can be programmed into the ECM.)

stick 24 talls on it and it will run a chit load faster. did you find someone around your town to tune the ecm? if so good. have you had a chance to put a big load on her to see what she does? 100k gross would give you a idea. have you had a chance to look at diesel injection pittsburg? call bruce and talk to him. hes a trip. nice truck good luck and keep us posted with pics
