How could that driver be so stupid, that was not even close.

Red_Rattler 10-09-2008 06:53 PM

WOW dude...... That WAS a nice rig but WTF was he thinking? He had to grab alot more gears alot faster than he did :lol88:

wildbill 10-09-2008 06:56 PM

There was a tractor/trailer (propane) that rolled ahead due to lack of brakes being set and the driver dozing off :argh::argh:. Eneded up tearing the front end off the truck.:ouch::ouch:

DIESELDENT 10-09-2008 07:16 PM

i dont know how he didnt see it :ph:

stkdram55 10-09-2008 10:24 PM

94cummins12v 10-09-2008 11:59 PM

if he would have stayed were he was when he couldnt back up anymore instead of trying to beat it he would have been fine

01CumminsRam 10-10-2008 12:06 AM

The train should've swerved to miss him. I don't think the train even braked. Yep, engineer's at fault on this one for sure.

94cummins12v 10-10-2008 12:07 AM

As a matter of fact, when they hit a heard or even a couple cows, they don't even feel it in the cab. Something like when a mosquito hits the widshield is what it's like.

toads250 10-13-2008 02:24 PM

No you feel it ,, trust me the hoghead is all buggard up now nitwits like that don't need to drive at all a 9,000 ton train at 40 mph takes 2 miles to stop even when the emergincy brakes are apllied think about when you want to try to beat a train

ETXBlueRam 10-13-2008 02:55 PM

Ouch. The only way I can think of that he might not have been able to see is if there were cars parked on a side track blocking his view. Either way it would have been better to sit where he was rather than try to beat it. That is a losing battle from the get go.
