Dt406 injection pump options

Hello. I'm working on a 94 international dt406 for my fire department. It has a p7100 Bosch pump on it only thing is international wants 2300 plus core and that's more than they can spend right now. My question is will a pump from say industrial injection or similar for the b cummins bolt up and work? Thanks

I think you mean DT408.
You can use one off a Cummins, but it will spin in opposite rotation. You will need to swap #2 and #4 injection lines to make it run. Plus, adding the external oil line. Are they sure it's the pump? The hoses behind the pump will probably be leaking, or worn out, and should be replaced at the same time. Also, the rubber elbow on top of the engine cracks and causes a booost leak. The bonus of the Cummins pump, is the bigger plungers, so there's more cheap power potential.
A #0 plate, 2 clicks tighter on the gov springs, injectors from a 530, and maybe some .191 delivery valves, and a little more timing...makes it pretty darn peppy.
