Trying to decided on which engine???

Hey all ive been looking at some trucks lately, and im wondering what engine i should try and go with?? I think'in about a 3406b, 3406e, or maybe an n14?? :rocking: is there anything speical about any of them? Which would get the best Power, and mpg? It'll be either a kenworth or peterbilt, 13 or 18 speed? Any help would be great! :rocking:

Not the N14 just because it is an outdated lower hp engine. But if the ISX is in anything I would get that.

Either CAT engine will be good and reliable. But worrying about mpg when buying a semi seems crazy. At best maybe 5-8 that cost is always passed to the customer.

But that cat is easy to work on and reliable for daily travels.

depends on what you are going to be pulling and where, heavy in the mountains, go with the 3406E or c15 non acert. great power, but Cat milage.

If you go with a 3406e cat keep an eye out for 5ek or 6nz as the first 3 of the serial number. They seem to be a pretty good batch of engines. Stay away from an mlb though. What a pile....
