Audio Advice

So i used to always be against audio systems in my truck, because the way I see it I could get go fast parts instead. Now I'm starting to appreciate quality sound, but I have no clue what to get. I was thinking some good quality speakers to replace the factory ones, maybe a new head unit (but i'm kinda picky that it fills up the factory space without a filler panel), a small good quality amp if i would need one, and probably a small good quality sub. So give me some suggestions!

Details on your truck? Single or supercab? Type? I can give you an idea an example in my truck i ordered phoniex gold component set regular 500$ for 150$ shipped on ebay!!! Then i added a 12" kenwood exceleron sub behind seat its like 2" thick with a box for 200$
I have a factory deck with line level converter for now and a 1 farad capacitor for sub with a 100$ 2 channel bazooka amp.
I have great sound and decent full bass for a great price! Let me know ur budget or hoe u want to build it i would like to help out!!

Its just a 2001 dodge 2500 regular cab without the factory premium sound system.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

my budget is pretty much whatever a couple of good speakers are, and whatever amp and/or sub i should get

Id have to look into what will fit behind the seat of your dodge probably check out JL audio they have awesome boxes a class D amp for sub and id put a 6.5" component set in the front with another 2 channel amp powering them as for head unit thats a wide open market it comes down to user preference hit up an audio store see what they have and play with the menus and dials see how easy they are to use. Some decks i couldnt get use to in the store let alone driving down the freeway.
I still have factory deck because iam saving ul for an all in onr DVD gps deck that has backup camera and syncs with my iphone.
Any quality component set would be good kicker, mb quart, phoniex gold, etc shop around on ebay
Hope this helps some

JL is overpriced.

Look into morel, dls, zapco, sundown, peerless, aura.

Check madisound.com.

Amps vary. Look into Arc, Sundown, Crescendo, Butler.

I do have the JL HD 900/5.
Small size, outstanding performance. Was a big Phoenix Gold fan until they stopped the Ti series.
Smaller is sometimes better when it comes to the installation. Now everything is unvisible.

unvisible=not being stolen!
What you pay is still what you get.

I bump all alpine. They have great sound quality and are reasonably priced. If you want great sound quality you will need to run a 4 channel amp to your newly installed speakers. Because the factory infinity amp does not produce much power.

I bought a PIONEER am/fm/cd 50 wattx4 with 4 6x8 KICKER speakers & a VIPER ALARM. Truck sounds good & I didn't have to break the piggy bank:nope:
