ports

I have to 12" lanzae shallows I have to 2" ports in my box now. Would it shound better with two 4" ports or just leave the two 2" ports in them now

2 2" ports are not enough for one 12. You need at least one 4" and you will need to adjust the length so that the box tuning is not thrown off.
After going from very little port area to larger port area, the port will not chuff and you might see a small increase in output.

Ok.. I made the box to fit under the baack seat in my 90 x-tra cab ford I think my demenisons were 43 long 18 deep and 8 inch tall. There Lanzar neo series subs powered by my orion 275 sx amp alamani capcitor and monster cable wire. So I should take the tp 2" round ports out and put my 2 4" round ports even though my subs are shallows?

Shallow or not, it will not influence port area. That is influenced by cone area, excursion and power.
Find a link to the subs, preferably to a user manual and I'll run some numbers to tell you what port length you need.
You have about 3 cubic feet available. It would work perfect for one sub and port. But I can't be sure without sub specs :)

I thought the shallow subs were for smaller boxes/areas (reason for the shallow-ness)??? If you're area is minimal, you wouldn't want a ported box at all... :humm: Why the ports??? Is this just preference??? Typically, you will actually loose power handling with ports in your box... I would really get ahold of some specs from the manufacturer and see if they should be in small boxes and sealed or ported... I guess what i'm getting at is two concerns: (1) shallow speakers typically need less box/area for the recommended output and (2) It doesn't seem like a "small box" speaker would have ports - being that ported boxes are usually bigger than sealed as default...

I hope this helps somehow... good luck :pca1:

what is the actual Brand Model and/or part number on the speakers? I'll see what kinda info i can gather...
