What are Orion amps worth now days?

I have [2] Orion 2100 HCCA competition amps & [2] 225 HCCA competition amps. I paid alot of money for these bad boys back in the day, but I grew out of that stuff. I'm just wondering what they are worth today?

Loved those amps, to the right person they may be worth a couple hundred a piece.:U:

But you have to have the extra batteries to run them, boy do I have stories..................:c:

I know. I had some serious systems in the past. I had these amps in my 64 Impala ss pushing 2 15" JBL pro 1000's. They didn't get much use, show car. I don't wanna give them away, thats for sure.

There are no 2100HCCA on ebay. The heatsink is selling for $180 new [case of amp, no internal board] The beast is one step down from 2100HCCA.

Orion HCCA2100 Specs

Orion HCCA 225 Specs

Thats what I found. Depending on the price I might be interested in one of your 2100. I will do some checking around.

I paid $1200 each for them when I bought them in 97. I'm not sure what they would be worth now, but I promise that the 2100 amps have less than 20 hours play time. I only drove that Impala around for a few trips to Blairsville. They were installed in my Impala in 2002. The car was strictly show & set in my garage ever since late 02.

Found a 225 on Ebay maybe you can judge how much they are worth by what it goes for. I really have no clue.

Orion 225

That one is one of the first ones made. I have the newer version, but it helps. Thanks

i'd say easily 500 700 bucks but you may have to wait for the right buyer, I had old Hifonics before they turned to crap. and have been the whole enormous stereo route, good ole days

cummins724 11-13-2009 06:13 PM

They can go down the road for that price.

:w2:Orion amps are the best I have a 275 sx briged:rocking: and its pushin two 600 watt lanzar neo subs and they pound. I would like to get another 275 sx for my new rockford fosgate p1 12's:scare2: Then they should be insane in my striaght cab

Nick Friedrich 02-13-2013 01:25 AM

anyone looking for a hcca 275r???? This thing is bad a$$ and hard to find but need the cash for other reasons

CHEMMINS 02-13-2013 11:29 AM

Just need to make sure the caps are not dried out. Sometimes on the older boards especially if they have been sitting, the caps go to hell. When someone fires it up again and pops a cap or two, they call you wondering why you sold them a POS. Can be a tough battle.

But as others have said, they sell for a decent price to the right buyer. There are avid Orion fans out there.

Technology has brought the $/watt numbers way down. You can get a 9000 watt amp now for what you paid for that 2100 back in the day.
