06 dodge amp install...Help!!!

Ok gang...I'm havin' a hell of a time with this sub/amp install!!! I made an enclosure for two 10" subs and one amp that fits under the back seat of my Dodge, looks great but that's it!!! I wired it up using the rear speaker leads and realized that they are a mid-range speaker and have no bass coming through them, so.......does anyone know what speaker leads I should tap into for the amp? Hair is about to be pulled out :argh: Thanks for any help you all can give me............

do you still have the factory reciever?

they do make a filter to tune out the mid range and only send the bass signall out to the amp. i picked mine up at a car audio shop

you need to buy an aftermarket head unit and then just run your RCA cables to the amp from the back of the radio

you dont realy need to, but it does sound a whole lot better, jl audio makes filters for them, you can tap the speaker wires and tune out the midrange with the filter

you have it hooked up right but you need to switch your amp to low pass

I used a MTX ReQ in my 06 Dodge, it was hooked up to the front door speakers. It worked great and helped get the bass out at higher volume levels.

With all the work you're going through I would hit craigslist and see if you could find a decent used headunit for now...then upgrade to something better when you can. Tapping into speaker wire is just ghetto if you ask me. Do it right the first time. Of course I uprgraded my head unit...then speakers...then finally added bass...some people just get it backwards IMO :argh::argh::argh::argh:

i say pioneer units for life.. but if u like your stocker just get a HI-LO bypass they sale them for like 20 bucks. if u cant find one pm and i can send you one. just tap it into your rear speaker wires and run rca from that. its really easy.. any ?? just ask:c:
