In-cab Inverter mount, with outlets!

So, I'm new, but I wanted to show off my inverter install and outlets.
Other people have done outlets like this, but I like mine. :) Inverter: 1200w Peak brand, with remote on/off switch, usb's and 120v outlets Attachment 35083 Mounted remote box in lower dash cubby:(PITA!) Attachment 35084 Put Outlets in the B-pillars, used the driver side one to tie more wire in to reach from the remote box, back to the inverter: Attachment 35085 Attachment 35086 The passenger side one is mounted higher, because the molding is actually flat, so the cover plate fits good. Didn't think about that detail on the driver side until after I already had wires cut, Oh well... I don't have pics, but the inverter is mounted under the little flap at the very back of the cab, so no interference with the seat folding up/down, and no loss of storage space! |
hey as an electrician:tu: did you have a permit and inspection? cool
|
Of course!:nope:
|
Wow even Tamper Resistant decora outlets! Only thing is that's a square wave inverter but it might not be an issue depending on your application.
|
That is cool, why would square wave be a problem?

Here's some pics of where it is mounted. Attachment 35051 Underside, showing bolts: Attachment 35052 Test fit. Attachment 35053 Nice and snug, I'll have to monitor temps on it when it runs. Attachment 35054 It's not actually wired up yet, still saving money for the the $100 of cable I need to move my batterys to under the bed. But it will be awesome when it's done! lol |
