Default I got a free Holley Back pump..

My neighbor gave me a NIB Holley Black pump. Is this a pump that I ca use on my 01 CTD? I have read about guys putting one on the frame rail as an additional "pusher". Since it was free I figured it would be of some use...

You can try it. I'm betting you will see high pressure at idle, and when you get going it will drop off drastically. I had a block mounted inline with my intank pump just to get me by. 30psi at idle, down to 12 under WOT. I'm willing to bet the 30psi at idle damaged my pump.
