Ok just got my truck out of the trans shop and it's been running fine for 2 days. But now it's back to when your sittin at a stop light with it in drive and your foot on the brake it will lugg the motor down and kill it. And after it kills it you have to let it set for awhile before you can start it back cuz it wont start. It drives perfect going down the road, shifts fine. I just had a new lock up siliniod put in, TPS Sensor, Throttle cable, and had it completley flushed and serviced. And there was no clutch material in the fluid or filter.

WHAT IS CAUSING THIS???????????????????????

the trannies in these trucks do not have lock up convertors..... it sounds like you have a bad torque convertor

 

FML........... and are you sure??? The guy showed me the old siliniod and the new one... I probly just got screwed over.......

And really not wanting to spend money on a converter right now.... good thing this is just a toy and not my everyday driver. I got a new 1 ton for that.

If I'm goin to have to spend the money and trouble on a new converter I might aswell just rebuild the whole trans while I'm at it....... Beef it up.
