Cummins in a 71 chevy 2500?

absolutely. Good friend has 12v cummins in a 71 or 2 3500. 25 and 3500 are the same under the hood. He swapped motor and 5spd from Dodge. His weak link was the radiator.
Very marginal cooling capacity which might have been due to age.

Ive seen several old chevys with 12 n 24 valve cummins. They all had manual trannies. I was told its very hard to keep a automatic cool because of space issues with a large cooler and radiator.
