Best twin turbo setup?
I have an 01 cummins 24 valve...As of right now i have a 95gph fass lift pump, HotRod Vp44, 75hp injectors,Banks Inatake horn, Stock turbo,Edge JWA, Afe stage 2 intake... i found a slightly used BD super b special turbo for sale for 800 bucks. I want to run twins eventually..I was thinking that turbo and a s400 would do the trick. Id upgrade springs, and headstuds. Are fire rings neccesary? should i take the head off to do the head studs? i have mixed feelings on not doing so..if i did take it off id do fire rings. one more question... if i run the 150hp injectors, will i lose a lot of mileage?
Fire rings are not necessary, if anything o-ring the head.
The head does not need to be removed for studs. Just make sure you change the bolts out for studs one at a time.
I'm still getting decent mileage with my 150's, and my Compound setup. When I tow, I have never reached 1300* EGT.

roll studs in one at a time like mentioned. if/when you blow a headgasket then o-ring the head this is all I did 3 years 85psi 683hp held just fine. the 64 not really ideal for a vp compound setup. a 62 or a 60 is better.
