6.0 powerstroke
Hey guys have a dumb question I have a 04 powerstroke and i just did head gaskets abd ifilled truck eith water and a cleaner if its just water will i the level drop slowly from it getting hot and evapurating
It shouldn't, it might drop a little as the air is being removed because it was drained, most motors will settle at there own level, most of the time it is right at the min line wich is the new max line, if you degas bottle doesn't have a sticker put on it from the dealer then make sure you only fill to the min line. If you were pushing fluid out the cap because of a bad headgasket then it might be wise to replace the cap, seems pretty common once the caps purge alot they don't hold the proper presure anymore.
I have another pronlem I been driving my truck for two weeks I drove it a hour away then on my way home my buddy was messing with me on his wrx and I punched it and fell on its face then wasnt running right when exceling
I haven't driven it since it happened two mins from my house it's not tuned I just did head gaskets on it new oil cooler it has egr delete intake and exhaust I started it yesterday and it smelt like fuel when I started it but idles fine but when I rev it up it won't rev like usually I wasn't driving it hard I was driving normal and got on it pretty hard and let off
The fuel smell is normal on a cold started diesel, since it's not burning it all. It still wont rev up like normal? Have you tried driving it again? Opened the hood and looked around? Might have been something simple like a boot blown off the intercooler!?
I just checked ficm it's giving 48v and replaced the fuel filters and it still isn't running right I took it out again was ok for less then a mile then started acting up its running rough and when u give it gas it didn't go
When you had the headgaskets done, did you send the heads to a machine shop to be checked?
Any codes?
What fuel/oil filter are you using?
What is your fuel pressure?
Is yours a early '04 or late '04?
