I just found an 8" bed. It is off a '99 that had an engine fire. Includes an aluminum roll up bed cover, tail gate, bumper, and receiver hitch. Spray in bed liner. No tail lights. The heat of the fire did not even melt the dash so there is no fire damage. No rust, dents or even scratches. Tail gate is perfect. The guy is asking $700. I have to remove it. I think this is a good price.

 

Jump on that, I have been looking for months now and can't find anything good to convert my dually.

Done deal. I pick it up on saturday. I will either have to paint the box blue and white to match the cab or paint the cab red to match the box. I am a John Deere guy. I can't have a red truck....can I?

 

NOPE sure cant. Heres the thing you will never get paint to match either or so might as well just shoot it all JD green

 

Yea if the bed is in that good of condition id buy it right away!

 

I own / operate a small used diesel truck store, we're ALWAYS looking for beds, they usually cost around a g note with no lights, tail gate or bumper. If that one is in good shape WITH the extras, I'd buy it asap.

 

Green paint and yellow rims? JD sticker on the back window and a G on the tailgate :p

 

I might be able to handle the JD green but will have to pass on the yeller wheels! I really like the G idea! Maybe one on each front quarter panel. I could run the intake and exhaust up through the hood just to be "authentic".


Talked to my paint guy this morning. He has been very successful at computer matching paint. He is also a Cummins man and was excited to help on this little project.

 

Lol I was referencing a Packer G not a JD G model tractor. Way better than the Viqueens.
