Default Duramax all aluminum radiator

as the title states. is there such a thing? been searching around for a radiator without the plastic end caps. mine has developed a leak around the seam and i have been topping it off about once a week. lately i am needing to top it off every other day. at some point enough is enough.

i would like to replace it with one that doesn't contain plastic in its construction. ie: aluminum end caps

anyone have any ideas on who may sell one of these? i have seen universal ones but the hose connections seem to be in the wrong place.

my truck is an 04 chevy 2500HD LB7 engine

thanks for any leads

You can have a radiator shop build one for you mine is all sheet metal.. but even then they can still crack...

well, i decided to repair mine instead.

here are some photos of how i fixed it. seems to be holding up well so far.

area where it was leaking

prying tabs with a screwdriver

bending the tabs out the rest of the way

paying it open

tank removed. you can see the transmission "cooler" inside

remove gasket

after cleaning up everything, letting it dry in the sun

now for the reassembly. first a bead of black ATV

Gasket and another bead of ATV

now bend the tabs back down. i also tapped them flat with a small hammer

all done

its been about a month and still no leaks. everything seems good
