Hey all I know this is the place to find anything and everything diesel. I currently have a 2006 F250 King ranch and I'm going to destroke that F'er and make'er a Fummins. However I've searched high and low for a common rail in the cheap area to purchase and make my own (rebuild and fix). I need help. I don't necessarily want to spend 6K on an engine when I figure I could pick up a whole wrecked truck or something like that and then scrap the body and part out what I can to make up for the cost of the truck and keep the engine. PLEASE HELP ME!!! My truck is sitting at the shop awating her new guts and I can't find anything in my price range.

 

Good luck. I'm doing my 06 king ranch 06 common rail swap right now. Buying a whole truck would be nice, but they're hard as hell to find now. Everyone and their dog is boning for a cummins CR for a swap right now and it's not going to be cheap.

5 grand is a deal for a low mile CR now days. Just remember that cash is king and the boss is never around the auto wreckers on the weekend. I **** my pants when a buddy of mine bought a cummins 6.7 with the bloody auto still on the back of it for 3 grand cash on a saturday.

 

Really??? How'd he swing something like that??? Ok well I sure appreciate the information. Hopefully I can find something similarly cheap. We'll see I guess. How far along are you on your progress right now on yours? Have any pictures?
