Default 06 6.0L Completely shutting down around 40mph

So ive got a 2006 6.0L F-250, mods are in the sig, but its been doing some goofy stuff the last couple days. Yesterday i was getting onto the freeway and all of a sudden the ABS light flashed, my entire truck shut down, completely cut out. Guages went down, stereo turned off engine died. i had to shift into N and then restart my truck while rolling and put her back in drive and it was fine. But WTF? Had no issues whatsoever starting the truck back up but it just completely died. its happened 2x in the last couple days. Any suggestions would be great!

Have you tried scanning for any trouble codes yet? That is not normal at all....

I had the same thing happen to me about 4 years ago, but it was my stupid fault, my truck would shutdown, at highway speed or sitting still, after trying to figure it out for 3 days I found my problem. I had unhooked my EGR valve and the fake butterfly valve the early 04s had, I tucked the wire away/ I should have tywrapped them to something/ anyway the wire and connector wound up getting behind a pulley on front of motor and it was shorting out the entire sensor circuit, killing the truck, I taped them up and tied them back and haven't had a problem since. If you look at the wiring diagram just about all the sensors use the same hot wire feed so if any of those sensors is shorting out it could kill the truck, I would start with the EBP sensor by the drivers side valve cover, check the wiring there too.

double check all you connections at drivers side fenderwell, make sure they are tight, talking about the harness coming from motor to body. Sounds like a bad sensor and it is shorting out, but not all the time.
