I'm interested in getting a 24v and i found this truck forsale i'll post the link on here. Any thoughts or comments from anyone who currently owns or has owned one will be much appreciated.

1999 Cummins with Boss 9.2 V-Plow

 

Personal opinion, that plow alone is probably worth 6000 guessing. The truck if whats stated is true, sounds like a good buyer, but drive the truck for a good test drive. Make sure all works. You could sell that plow for awesome upgrades if it works right

Guess what I looked that plow is 6000. Wish I had the 12000. I'd go after it bud. As stated before if you dont need plow sell it. Good Luck

 

That's what I'm thinking I'm takin a ride to look at it tomorrow so I'll let you guys know how it goes. A kid at school is supposed ta buy my first gen but I can't buy this one without selling mine.

The speedo cable broke though he said the last time he was plowing he thinks but I'm not sure

 

Just add it up the plow and the tranny and you are already looking at 12,000. Just be sure and look it over if the tranny aint purple then it's not ATS.. If the cable is broke then you can't drive it... Let the guy know up front if you can't drive you can't buy!! Call him before your on your way. I am sure he will have it fixed.. Like everyone is saying sale the plow and get your body fixed and painted. Already got programmer and tranny!!

 

i would b careful with the juice with additude check the oil level and make sure he didnt put a gall of power punch in it a friend of mine had a 98.5 he burnt up his rings runnin that set up with a pipe and No gauges

 

If you do buy it, like the guys said If you have no interest in plow, I'd sand it paint it with spray paint rustoleum and then clear it and sell it for 5800. Those v-plows are top of the line bud.

Ok looked at it drove perfect 4x4 worked everything worked truck was just dirty and the rockers and corners are gone and the wheel wells on the bed are starting to rust. I'm thinking of offering 6500 for just the truck. It shifts perfectly fine takes off like a raped ape has good tires (need to be rotated) interiors dirty. I'm at a loss I want the truck because it's what I've been looking for and it's got a built trans which I would've bought so that saves me money and just a chip so theres not a whole lot done to it which is really hard to find around here. But it seems like he doesn't deive the truck he has three other ones but I don't really trust him on how long the speedo cables been broke tho he did try and fix it. How much in body work and paint do yall think? Frame and the rest of the truck is clean for a farm truck. What's your honest opinion after my description? My dad doesn't want me to get it so I'm trying to think of some arguments here. Thanks guys!

 

Well if the guys asking 9 without plow, I'd doubt Ed take 6500 man. Rusted out or not. I'd say a grand conservatively in body work.
