Default straight pipe

will a straight pipe all by its self cause any problems to the 6.0? the only thing the truck has done is a s&b air intake.

Ok thanks. Its my dads truck and Im trying to talk him into doing it but he seems to think that it will cause something else to go wrong and blame it all on that. But Im going to see what i can do!

definitley won't hurt. i have it done to my 03 right now. i just took the cat and muffler out moved all the pipe forward and modified it a little with welding to get it past the cab and did a turndown behind it. sounds AWESOME on just a 3 1/2 inch pipe. turns alot of heads and am always getting complements wherever i go.

I heard that you needed the back pressure. Just a myth huh?

The turbo takes care of the back pressure, anything after the turbo is fair game to be deleted. Hood stack if you want.

I still have my cat on mine in the banks exhaust, so I could get a piece of pipe to replace it till I need to smog then. That should be pretty cheap. Darn Cali and their smog laws!

The turbo is actually classified as a muffler in most states. Backpressure is great, as long as it's a turbo providing it!
