So I have done some searching and if i get the Napa bhaf does it just slip in the intake tube? And is the prefilter necessary and the heat shield? Now I have a k&n drop in and everyone is against them so I'm wanting to get rid of it asap!

 

prefilter not necessary, nor the heatshield. remove the airbox and the bhaf clamps right on the tube.

 

those things are not necessary but good to have, i got my prefilter for $30 and i made my own heat shield
