When the steering is turned close to the locked position, there is a short groan emitted as the wheel returns to center. It doesn't happen every time, but too often for my liking. Anyone have any ideas what this might be?

 

Have you checked the power steering fluid?

 

My 05 groans every no and then, its the powersteering pump, we had it replaced and it done it ever since.
