Default Modifaction Questions

I'm slowly modifying my 01.I put on a K&N 5166 cold air on the stock intake hose & a K&N cold air box rebent from a durango($5.00 junkyard find!) The K&N is cone shaped 12 in long 8in tapered to 6in IT"S BIG!!.It lies very nicely where the stock air box was. This airfilter's opening is the same as the air hose,so a trip to Home Depot to find a 4in. pvc cap for $1.19, drilled & cut end off, smoothed the edges with a die grinder. I changed the boost elbow with one that a guy in Colorado made, they were shown on this site. Maybe not a Banks or AFE but I beleive better than I had. OK now to exhaust wondering if I should put on the Banks exhaust4" outlet off the turbo or just use a downpipe that goes from 3" to 4" then out? Faster spool? lower egt? Better flow?Does it matter?Anyway you slice it I'm opening it up. The gear vendors overdrive will be here this week. Install soon.Enough for now .as always thanks for all the help I've recived & for a great site!!JOHN

expandit 4" tbe would do, why pay for the name if you're going aluminized a piece of pipe is a piece of pipe. Might help lower EGT's but it won't be significant unless you do a manifold or obviously a turbo upgrade
