Default Turbo boost psi

i got an HY35 turbo cause it was originally an auto and im getting about 33psi max on my boost guage. If i do J-hook mod how much more boost will i see? i know 35psi and up is super heated air and not good for performance.

No, he means HY35. The J-Hook is not used on a HX35.

I plugged the wastegate off completely when I still had my HY, and 33-34 is about all I could make it do.

personally I like my hybrid, it spools faster than my 35, and pushes more cfm than a 40. I am still considering head studs, and building a second hybrid to put on.

I was thinking that... your truck is 99 no reason it wouldn't have HX

But either way, you're right near the point of maxed out. My buddy used to push 45psi on his 12v stock hx35 and it would bark like crazy, more boost doesn't exactly mean more power. Only fuel you're adding is from the puck? stock injectors? I'd look into an hx40 or hybrid as mentioned above... unless you plan on running big injectors down the road.
