Just had the pan pulled on my 47 re,the reverse band has snapped! So I want to rebuild it to handle the few mods that I have.Im running 35's with a 4'' exhaust,vanaken economy chip,afe air intake' I'm wondering what mods i should make to the tranny to handle these small mods on a tight budget! The only mod to the tranny is a bd tranny pan! Any input is much appreciated!

 

a TC and VB and really your good to go till 400hpsish and abuse. if you know what a pair of snap ring pliers and a few sockets look like you can pull the pump and replace the front band yourself and save HUNDREDS!!!! then bolt it back together. put your new tc and vb in it and labor cost you NOTHING just your time.

 

single disc low stall TC and bd valve body is all you need

 

Went with a triple disk,modified vb,complete master rebuild billet input shaft,shift kit and heavy duty springs! Making for one tough tranny! Bullet proof ain't cheap!!
