Hey guys,new B here! I'm looking for some info on 47re? I was driving the other day and went from reverse to forward when I heard a snapping noise! I lost reverse but have all forward gears and shifts fine! I checked and smelled the tranny fluid and is fine,I also checked the linkage an that appears to be fine. So now im thinking that I snapped the reverse band or the problem is in the valve body? Is it bad to drive it for a couple of days before it makes it to the shop? Any info is much appreciated! could be band...might be time to rebuild bud. my buddy over here in korea with me has a ranger... well he lost reverse gear..we tore into his tranny and the teeth were worn down so far it wasnt grabbing. you may also check your reverse servocylinder. could have blown the seals on it. i dont think the valve body is the problem though. also, i dont recommend driving it, could make it worse..never know.
