Default transynd fluid in 47re?

I was wondering if synthetic fluid would increase longevity in our automatics. assuming the fluid/filter is changed on time and the bands adjusted properly is overheating of the fluid the most common cause failure? i was considering transynd as supposedly according to my dipstick you can run dex ii in it and transynd is formulated to behave like dexiii/mercon. i ran it in a gm 4l60e for a long time and it liked it, but i know this is a dodge, just wondering if anyone has used it

ATF+4 and comparable is personally what i think should be used. Half the time you can't find the fluid that dipstick recommends, but +4 is much more common and availability is better.

I would run what the engineers designed it for. ATF+4

sad part is i can get rebranded (Fleetrite) transynd for the same price as atf+4 which is dyno and therefore is not as strong temp wise. im sure a syn atf+4 would cost me an arm and a leg. i gotta stop buying vehicles that take the expensive crap. i had a crown vic that took merconV and it would cost me over $200 for a diy trans service if i drained the TC. the only reason i put synthetic in the 4l60e was because it was a z28 camaro that i drove in the snow. (with winter tires and posi that car was actually great in the snow but yup i got stuck sometimes)

Doesn't have to be syn... A synthetic blend should treat you right. I did a converter and DD trans pan, took 5 gallons of amsoil.

X2 on that. The best thing you can use would just be ATF 4

If it's amsoil, it's not a blend...fyi.
Transynd will work, but an ATF+4 should actually be cheaper..ours is.
Yes, synthetic is more beneficial. It will last longer and run cooler.

Well aware of it not being a blend, figured if I suggested a blend he could get a little bit of both worlds, higher temp stability and a little easier on the pocket. Was just tellin him I feel his hurt, 5 gal of amsoil left me walkin a little funny out of the trans shop. Can't complain, I thought he forgot to hook my trans temp sensor back up after the change bc the gauge sat on the peg the whole way home.
