Default Flex plate question
I am looking at a new flex plate. My plans are to put a manual in it, its auto, so are the flex plates the same for auto and manual?

Only automatics use a flexplate, Manual Transmissions use a Fly Wheel.

Ok thank you. My flexplate split and I am 2 hours from home. I am planning on putting a manual in it but I need to get home so what would you guys suggest?

The flexplate transfers the engines power from the engine, to the torque converter, if its so broken it doesn't move, you'll have to tow it.

Ooooh thats rough! Broken flex plates are no fun Cheap and easy to fix but you cant move truck at all
