i have a 96 model ram 4x4 cummins, i am looking to buy a ram 1500 because i want the shortbed ext cab, but i am going to be putting all of my stuff from the 2500 onto the 1500 chassis, such as the axles, suspension, motor, trans, trans case and the little odds and ends, and change out the dash for all of my instruments, I'm wanting to do this soon, so please let me know what you think, thanks,!!!!

 

Guy at a salvage yard near me did it to a short bed regular cab. Took him about a week. Having the two trucks beside each other would help alot.
