Are you looking to replace your stock with a better aftermarket one, or add a secondary? In either case, make sure you get one with threaded ends for threaded fittings as it will not leak like slip-on hose fittings will. Beans Diesel Performance may be able to get one for you or at least point you in the right direction. You can also go online to find them.

 

at the moment im kinda goin with whatever will work best with my wallet but itd good to get one with the fittings though. also an aftermarket one might be too big to fit inbetween my grill because i have limited space since my truck was originally non intercooled and now it has one.

 

 

I can relate to the wallet thing. Being retired is cool, but being on a budget SUCKS!! Heres an idea, if your wallet permits, get a trans cooler with a built in eletric fan and you can mount it anywhere you want. wire it with a toggle switch and your good to go. Or, get a quality trans cooler, find a suitable fan at a wrecking yard, and put them together.
This is what I did. I bought an aftermarket engine oil cooler with 1/2" fittings, dimentions are 1" thick x 11" W x 11" L (ebay); bought a 10" electric fan (ebay) and attached them. A buddy of mine made brackets and mounted it next to my trans. He cut the return line to the trans from the factory cooler, used a flairing tool on the cut ends and supplied the correct fittings with about 14" of 1/2" steel braided line. I then wired it to a toggle switch. I switch on the fan when Im towing my heavy travel trailer. Keeps the trans temps well in check. I spent $74 bucks on the project. My buddy supplied the fittings and braided line and it only took a couple of hours. Oh yeah, a few more bucks for a couple of beers when we were done
