built tranny?

Default built tranny?

so i recently bought a 95 12 valve and a few people are saying the tranny is built. im not sure how else to tell other than the tranny shifts harder than normal into gear. any ideas?

Might just have a "tighter" converter. Or idle is a little high.

Pull off the inspection cover on the bottom of the bell housing, see if the torque converter has any markings. That may be a start.

whats idle supposed to be. i think mine is at like 6 or 700

a fuzz higher than that. 8-900 x2 on the inspection cover. could pull the pan and look for a name plate on the VB or take it to a shop and see what the line pressures are.
