need input from anybody running a dual stack set-up
i got my stack kit its a 4'' Y pipe and 2 5inch mitre cuts. my question is i was checking under the bed to see if everything would clear but it seems like the bed crossmember is in the way of the pipe entrance im going to cut into my bed? anybody have a problem like this?" its a 1993 w250 and has stock 3'' exhaust
when i did my stacks i only had to cut a tiny bit and i have had my truck undercoated since then but i would do something to protect the newly exposed metal from rust just to ensure longivity
cut and fit I had to cut about half of that cross member. un another note can I have the peice that you cut out because I'm sick and tired of my stack and I'm puting a regular 4in exhaust back in
haha already bent it badly so threw it out. i had to cut half of cross member and take out a 4.5 inch out of bed support gonna make something to go around the pipe. overall i would have to say WHAT A F***IN PAIN IN THE ***!! but it is worth it and love the sound . i have them over the cab so i dont have the drone inside, just any sugestions should i weld the stacks to reducers or clamp them? if i were to weld them it would only be 4 tac welds in the joints.
Clamp them so if you want to change styles it's easier. I used these and they work great Aluminized SealClamp 5" Pre-Formed to hook 5" miters to 5"x4" reducers.
