Question low pressure fuel light

I am on my 3 rd. vp44 in 4 months, first went out because of factory lift pump quit at 223000 miles, I just accepted the fact, knowing that my original vp had a long life, had dealer put a reman. on it and they took stock lift pump off and put a in tank fuel pump, $2700 and I was running again. two months later my yp failed again, vp pump builder called and said I had trash in system (right after they sent me a replacement pump that lasted two days) and I needed to clean tank and lines and filter housing, so I did, and purchased a low pressure warning system with my third pump. light flickers and comes on, not real bright under load at about 2000 rpm and when engine levels out light goes out. If towing a heavy load at about 2000 rpm light will stay on dim until rpm drop a bit, is this normal for the light or did I waste my money and should have got a gauge?

vp not getting enough fuel, shouldn't come on at all. you'll burn the vp up already, what kind of lp you have right now?

Buy a Raptor LP, you might get lucky. Get that in tank crappy pump out, and if you do need a VP, don't let the dealer do it, find some where else.

not sure the brand the dealer put in the tank, the invoice said it was a direct dodge replacement, does have a 1 year warranty but don't know if i will have much luck proving its not supplying enough fuel, when I took it back to them they said it was supplying enough pressure

wished I would have known about this site when I first started having problems, could have saved a lot of frustration and money, looking at the raptor 100 seems to be the best deal out there since my truck is mostly stock w/ upgraded trans. When my vp went out after the in tank pump was installed i was on a 150 mile trip back from the lake on labor day weekend, towing a 7000 lb. boat with overdrive off, when I stopped for fuel it never started again
