Default DO I need the Fan Pulley??

I am going to use a York 210 style compressor for my onboard air, it currently has a dual v-belt clutch that I am planning to convert to a serpentine and run off the one belt as opposed to a separate v-belt. I am also going to mount the AC and Alternator up higher to clear the frame.

So here is my question, if there any reason to keep the fan pulley if I am going with a electric fan? It seems to be an unnecessary piece, and in the way of where I am thinking to route the belt. I would run the compressor on the top of the engine above the p-pump, the belt would just come off the main at bottom to the compressor, Idler, Alternator, AC, water pump and back around (Unless I have the rotation backwards).

I would appreciate any advice on this, it seems that everyone that does the high mount AC keeps the Fan pulley but does not run a engine mount fan.

Thanks in advance.

No need for it with an electric fan.

Wow you speak LOL

Thanks, that is what I figured but I see so many trucks online that are conversions with the pulley retained.

I think the reason most people keep them so they can continue to use the same belt.
