Default thinkin about adding efi live with Edge cs

hey guys im thinking about adding efi live tuning with my edge cs.. i just put the edge on a few months ago its on my 04.5 LLY. the main reason is, when i put the programmer in extreme mode put my foot into it the truck puts itself in limp mode or what im guessing is limp mode the programmer throws a PO700 code. will efi live allow me to run it in extreme when its needed? any info will help. thanks!

efi live will be everything u need. the edge will be useless except for the gauges since efi live can tune everything for you.

oh and limp mode is something u should fix, your transmission is not liking the extreme mode so you can eventually trash the trans if you keep on doing that. i have some 4.5 efi live tunes somewheres that are transmission safe

It is my understanding that efi live is for '06 and higher friend.

I dont know where you got your understanding but it is incorrect

EFI live can tune the duramax from 2001-2010, Its also able to tune many many other GM ecm's as well as some other makes, including the cummins from 06-07

EFI live cannot help your trans, you need to physically rebuild it with a Kit from either suncoast or PPE, the torque converter and clutches are unable to take the added horsepower of a tuner

u can command more pressure, and alter shift points that might help the transmission but its no fix for actual parts in the transmission.

U will need a rebuilt trans if you want more power. efi live can push you closer to the max limits of the stock trans but it can only hold so much power.

theres vendors on this site who carry efi live. you can post up in the Price quote forums.
