Default the holy grail

i just found this truck and was wondering what yall thought? the price seems a little steap but i would be trading my car for it anyways. i got the car by trading my 24v auto with quite a few issues so to me it sounds fair!

That price is not off much, the only thing is the rust issue. Before you buy you should get under that thing and inspect for more. If the fenders rusted that bad it may have other rust problem areas you don't see.

That is what I paid for my truck with 150K and 100% stock. And yes they are getting nearly impossible to find.

Do you have to smog check a '97 diesel where you are?

ok! the rust dosent worry me to much... if its just there! thats quite an if .

ya i will have to pass emissions. do these have cats or just mufflers? i know its gotta pass a smoke test to. so i will probably have to replace the fuel plate and mess with the afc (both i have never messed with) then weld in a muffler or find some stock trucks exhaust and use it temperoaryly

True maybe there but not everywhere... Afraid to travel? I will never buy another older truck from up here. My 95 came out of Arkansas and its not fair how clean in cheap these trucks are... But if you dont want to go out of state then ya your kinda screwed

Those trucks are California smog exempt, so out West they are like "GOLD"

If a guy had a car hauler and some working money you could buy '97 12v trucks in the midwest and sell them in California for a profit.

The hot ticket is the club cab short bed 4x4.

Thats not a "grail" truck.

A grail is a 98 12V quadcab shortbox with the manual trans, oh and with plastic mirrors
