Default 1st gen cummins Pay to much?

did i pay to much for my cummins?
i bought a 1990 cummins 4x4 auto, its got 255,000 big rust bucket
It runs great, drives down the road, but has alot of small problems, the brake pedal is held up by a bungie cord to keep the tail lights from being on, the mph gage is broke, hub for the axle broke off (the lock out) horrable tires and to top it off, dents and rust
-by rust i mean, cab corners, rocker panles, floor, and some wheel well, with holes-
i paid $2,500

I paid $1700 for my truck. 300k, bone stock and no rust at all at the time*

*I just took off my long box to go to a shortie and it was just starting to have the paint bubble up on the drivers wheel arch. The short bed is just a pile of **** and is in terrible shape though, basically it is there just to say I have a bed until I can get my hands on a better one.

dont feel bad i've got a 90 w200 for 3k$ and i thought it was a steal until i had to change the alternator, the brakes, the transmission, the master cylinder/brake boost, then i could finally have a little fun with it and bought a 4inch lift for it.... but now realize i have to buy bigger shock absorbers for it... oh well i swear its almost a sickness or something, cause i love my truck more than any other car i've had that i've never had any problems with
