Transfer Case Handle

Eveytime i start up my truck and drive it the damn transfer case or transfer case handle is ratteling like crazy. Its so annoying and is blocking the sounds of the truck.... any suggestions?

Mine does the same thing! I've tried rubber bushings, grease, duct tape, bungee cords, and nothing helped

I guess it come with the first gen. Just turn the music up louder haha.

is it a np241 or an old iron np205?

If it's the original transfer case that came with the truck, it's an NP205.

Mine made a rattling noise until I replaced the shifter **** on it. it was all cracked and broken

Its the original transfer case and its so annoying. Some days it does it and sometimes it doesnt but when it does it sounds terrible.

so yeah its the 205... does the lever feel like it has alot of play in it when u engage the 4wd? the linkages might be loose and makin the sound like that.
