Default NEED HELP with ac compressor

I have a 03 2500 and when my ac compressor kicks on it makes a loud clicking noise (like a baseball card in a bike spoke) it doesnt stop untill i turn off the ac.I replaced the water pump about 5 months ago, about 2 months after the water pump i heard a howling noise and replaced the belt tensioner and belt and the howling went away. But about two weeks after i did the tensioner and belt the clicking noise started so I returned the tensioner and installed another one and same problem. My ac still blows cold and still has good pressures out of the compressor.Could the noise stated above be the tensioner (the part i installed was aftermarket) or can the compressor make noise and still be fully functional. Thanks in advance for the help

Question

The truck drives and runs fine. If you watch the belt and tensioner with the AC off it looks normal ,but as soon as the compressor kicks on it starts making a slapping or clicking noise and the belt and tensioner start jumping around.

I would pull the belt and inspect the compressor....it may be going out, also I believe they sell a belt to bypass the compressor......since its winter and all this would give you some time

On the 2003 can you replace just the clutch on the compressor?
