So I tried the key trick, I turned it to on position and back off 3 times within 5 seconds and my odometer said "p done" after the third turn....what does that mean??

 

Pdone is the snanning of the PCM in the truck. You should have saw Pdone twice.If not do it again and wait until you see it twice,there maybe code stored.

 

thanks for the reply, but I just did it again and p done stays up for about 2 seconds and then it goes to my regular odometer reading. I waited for a minute and it never changed from the regular odometer reading? so I mean is that a good thing that nothing showed up?

 

Yep you are good. If you wanted you could go to advance auto and there do a scan for free.

That second Pdone only seems to have started sometime in the '02 year. My very early '01 does not do it.

 

That's weird mine does but its a 01.5..

 

That's probably the change then.
