Howdy Gents........got a gasket kit from Napa along with sealer and threadlocker. Will be doin my kdp tomorrow. Makin the dowel pin retainer and hopin everything looks good in there.

Thanks! Not to worried about it, just nervous bout leavin it and not knowin. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

 

my truck had it done when I bought it, thankfully.. though I have another engine and that one I should look at, leaks oil like a sieve anyhow

 

Yeah I would be happy to see it in there when I pull the cover. Peace of mind, some seals and RTV. This truck has 200,000 mi.

 

Well got er done and the dowel was still in there. It wasn't flush and looked like it might have backed out some, maybe a 1/8". Drove it back in and made a keeper. Nice to know my motor will live for a long time to come! First 12v I've ever worked on. Glad to have a truck I can actually work on myself.
